Operation Herrick was the UK's contribution to the NATO mission in Afghanistan from 2002 to 2014, and Scimitar CVR(T)s served throughout the campaign in the reconnaissance role, operating in Helmand Province and other southern districts. The TES(H) — Theatre Entry Standard (Hot) — configuration incorporates the specific armour, equipment, and fittings required for the Afghan theatre, including bar armour, additional thermal imaging equipment, and desert camouflage. This Gecko Models 1/35 kit (35GM0051) is an authentic representation of the Scimitar as it served in one of the British Army's most significant recent deployments.

Unless otherwise stated these models will need some construction and painting. Glues and paints are not included.
