Hasegawa 1/24 Lancia Stratos HF "1978 Acropolis Rally" (20692)

Lancia Stratos HF: 1978 Acropolis Rally

Bring a defining shape of 1970s rallying to your workbench with Hasegawa's 1/24 scale Lancia Stratos HF, depicting the 1978 Acropolis Rally subject. Its compact proportions and distinctive wedge-shaped body make a striking centrepiece for a classic rally-car display.

Built for the stages

Unlike rally cars adapted from everyday saloons, the Stratos was conceived specifically for competition. Its Bertone-styled body enclosed a mid-mounted Ferrari Dino V6, combining a short wheelbase with a layout designed for agility on demanding rally stages.

The Stratos helped Lancia secure three consecutive World Rally Championship manufacturers' titles in 1974, 1975 and 1976. It remained a formidable rallying presence later in the decade, even as the sport's machinery continued to evolve.

The Acropolis challenge

Greece's Acropolis Rally earned its reputation through punishing gravel roads, rocks, dust and heat. Success demanded more than speed: mechanical endurance and careful judgement were vital on stages that could be unforgiving to both cars and crews. This 1978 subject places the Stratos in that rugged setting.
