The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II — universally known as the 'Warthog' — is the USAF's dedicated close air support aircraft, built around the fearsome GAU-8 Avenger 30mm rotary cannon and designed to survive in the brutal low-altitude environment over a modern battlefield. Ugly by design and beautiful by reputation, the A-10 has proven itself in every major US conflict since the Gulf War. This Hasegawa 1/72 kit depicts the A-10C in the striking Demonstration Team 'Vietnam Scheme' — a special commemorative camouflage inspired by the Southeast Asia paint schemes of the 1960s and 70s — making it a real eye-catcher on the display shelf compared to the standard grey schemes. Includes Hasegawa's characteristic crisp mouldings and a full decal sheet.
