The Harrier GR.7 was the RAF's primary close air support aircraft through the 1990s and 2000s, seeing action over the Balkans and Iraq before its premature retirement in 2010. An Anglo-American collaborative development of the original Harrier, the GR.7 brought night-attack capability and a significantly expanded weapons load to the vertical take-off and landing concept that still seems futuristic decades after the type first flew. Hobby 2000's 1/48 scale kit captures the GR.7's distinctive nozzled silhouette and multi-role equipment fit with well-detailed components and accurate RAF markings.
A rewarding build for fans of British military aviation and Cold War-era fast jets.
