The Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.G was the workhorse of the Afrika Korps during the final phase of the North African campaign, equipped with the long-barrelled 7.5cm KwK 40 gun that could engage Allied armour at effective combat ranges. Operating in the harsh desert environment of Tunisia in 1943, these tanks wore distinctive sand yellow finishes often supplemented with locally improvised camouflage as German forces fought a fighting withdrawal against overwhelming odds. Hobby 2000's 1/72 kit captures the Ausf.G in its North Africa configuration with accurate desert markings, schürzen side skirts, and the detail that diorama builders and armour collectors demand.
An excellent companion piece for a late-war North Africa or Tunisia campaign display.
