The Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ("Stork") was one of the most remarkable aircraft of World War II, capable of taking off in under 60 metres and landing in under 20, and of flying at walking pace in a headwind. Used for liaison, reconnaissance, artillery spotting, and casualty evacuation across every German theatre of the war, it was also used for the audacious rescue of Mussolini from his mountaintop prison in September 1943. This HobbyBoss 1/35 kit (80180) builds the A-0 pre-production and C-1 standard variants at the large and dramatic 1/35 scale alongside armour and figure subjects.
