The Fieseler Fi 156 Storch was the Luftwaffe's ubiquitous liaison and observation aircraft throughout World War II, renowned for its extraordinary short-field performance — able to take off in under 60 metres and land in under 20. The D-1 was a dedicated ambulance variant, fitted with a stretcher installation accessible through a large door in the rear fuselage, and served on all fronts evacuating wounded personnel. This HobbyBoss 1/35 kit (80182) builds the ambulance D-1 variant at the dramatic large scale ideal for pairing with 1/35 armour and figure dioramas.
