The late production Sd.Kfz.221 introduced the revised six-sided turret design and various detail changes over the first series. Widely used in the Polish and French campaigns and the opening phases of Barbarossa, it continued in service in secondary roles as heavier armoured cars took over frontline reconnaissance duties. Some late examples were fitted with a 2.8cm sPzB 41 anti-tank rifle in place of the MG. This HobbyBoss 1/35 kit (83814) captures the late production variant of this nimble German light armoured car.
