The GMC DUKW-353 — universally known as the "Duck" — was the Allies' primary amphibious logistics vehicle of the Second World War, combining a 2.5-ton truck with a boat hull and propeller drive for shore-to-ship supply runs. Ducks landed troops and supplies at Sicily, Normandy, and across the Pacific, operating in conditions that defeated conventional landing craft. This I Love Kit 1/35 version adds a 105mm M2A1 howitzer to the configuration, capturing the gun-towing variant used to bring artillery ashore in the immediate assault phase. A distinctive and unusual subject that stands out from standard AFV builds.
