The M3 Grant was the British Army's designation for the M3 medium tank, modified to British requirements with a lower turret profile and revised interior. Rushed into service in North Africa from May 1942, the Grant gave the 8th Army its first tank with a gun capable of engaging German armour at range — the hull-mounted 75mm — even if the fixed mounting limited its tactical flexibility. It served through Gazala, Alam Halfa, and El Alamein before being superseded by the Sherman, and remained in Commonwealth service in the Pacific and Burma. I Love Kit's 1/35 kit reproduces the British-specification turret and hull detail of the North Africa Grant.
