The Chevrolet C15A Water Tank variant carried potable water to forward positions, filling the same vital role in the CMP truck family that the Bedford MWC fulfilled among British vehicles. In the desert campaign water supply was a constant operational concern, and the distinctive cylindrical tank body of the water tanker makes it immediately recognisable — and welcome — wherever it appeared. The No.13 Cab's distinctive Canadian Military Pattern styling is retained, giving this functional variant the same character as its cargo-carrying siblings in a role that was absolutely essential to the men it supplied.
