The Fiat 508/III Junak was Poland's standard light military vehicle in 1939 — a small, nimble car-based truck used in staff, liaison, and light utility roles throughout the Polish Army's order of battle. In ambulance configuration it provided the Polish medical services with mobile casualty evacuation, the small vehicle threading through the congested roads of the September 1939 campaign to collect and transport the wounded. As one of the defining vehicle types of the Polish September campaign and a subject that IBG as a Polish manufacturer treats with particular care and authenticity, the Fiat 508 Ambulance is a poignant and historically specific model that carries the weight of Poland's brief but heroic fight in 1939.
