"September Sky 1939" packages two of the most important Polish aircraft of the September campaign in a single box — the PZL P.11a fighter and the PZL.37 Łoś medium bomber, together representing both the defensive and offensive arms of the Polish Air Force as it fought its brief, heroic, and ultimately futile battle against the Luftwaffe. The Łoś was actually one of the most advanced medium bombers in European service in 1939, a fact that tends to be overshadowed by Poland's defeat, and placing it alongside the P.11a creates a complete picture of Polish air power at the moment of its greatest trial.
