The BTR-4E is Ukraine's domestically developed wheeled armoured personnel carrier, designed as an upgrade to the Soviet BTR-80 family and incorporating a more powerful engine, improved protection, and a modern weapons station. It represents Ukraine's post-independence effort to develop its own defence industrial capability and has seen extensive combat service from 2014 onwards, making it one of the most current and operationally relevant armour subjects available in 1/72 scale. IBG's Ukrainian connection gives this kit a particular authenticity — as a Polish manufacturer well acquainted with Eastern European military subjects, IBG brings genuine regional knowledge to this contemporary Ukrainian vehicle.
A current and operationally active vehicle — Ukraine's own APC as seen in active service today.
