British infantry in 1917–1918 were the soldiers of the Brodie helmet and the Lee-Enfield rifle — men who had survived the Somme and Passchendaele and who would fight the Hundred Days Offensive that finally broke the German Army on the Western Front. The Tommy of this period carries the equipment and clothing of the war's most intense phase, and the subtle differences from 1914–1915 equipment in terms of webbing, helmet, respirator, and weapons make period accuracy essential for the dedicated WWI modeller. ICM's figure set provides British infantrymen in their 1917–1918 fighting order, the correct companions for the many British vehicles of this period that ICM also produces.
