KP Models 1/72 Duel over Africa 1942 Kittyhawk Mk.IA & Bf 109F-4 with Book (KPH7207)

Duel over Africa, 1942

Bring two opposing fighters of the North African campaign to your workbench with this KP Models 1/72 scale set, pairing the Curtiss Kittyhawk Mk.IA with the Messerschmitt Bf 109F-4 and an accompanying book.

A battle fought above the desert

In 1942, the skies over North Africa were as fiercely contested as the ground below. Allied and Axis air forces supported their armies across vast distances, with fighters escorting bombers, protecting troops and challenging enemy aircraft over the desert.

The rugged Curtiss Kittyhawk served with Commonwealth forces in the desert war, undertaking both fighter and ground-attack duties. Across the front, the streamlined Messerschmitt Bf 109F, known as the Friedrich, was a key Luftwaffe fighter. Together, these subjects capture the contrasting machines involved in that demanding campaign.
