The Douglas A-20 Havoc was one of the most widely used Allied attack aircraft of the Second World War — fast, versatile, and produced in enormous numbers for the USAAF, the RAF, the Soviet Air Forces, and numerous other Allied nations. The A-20G was the most heavily armed variant, replacing the glazed bombardier nose with a solid nose mounting four 20mm cannons and two .50 calibre machine guns, making it a formidable low-level strafer and anti-shipping aircraft. The British Boston Mk IV designation covered the same airframe in RAF and Commonwealth service, where it flew with great effectiveness in North Africa, the Mediterranean, and Northwest Europe throughout the war.
The Allied workhorse that fought on every front — the Havoc in its most lethal configuration.
