The Merkava Mk.4M with Trophy Active Protection System represents the current pinnacle of Israeli tank development — a vehicle designed from first principles around crew survivability, with the engine at the front to provide additional protection for the crew compartment. The Trophy APS, developed after combat experience against rocket-propelled grenades and anti-tank missiles in Lebanon and Gaza, detects and intercepts incoming threats before they reach the tank, and has proven itself in repeated operational deployments. Meng's 1/72 kit captures Trophy's distinctive radar arrays and countermeasure launchers alongside the Merkava's complex hull geometry in precise small-scale form.
