The B-17G Flying Fortress was the iconic four-engine heavy bomber that formed the backbone of the US Eighth Air Force's daylight strategic bombing campaign against Germany from 1942 to 1945. Its defensive gun positions — most notably the chin turret added on the G variant — and legendary structural durability made it famous for bringing crews home despite severe battle damage. Meng's mEgg series shrinks the Flying Fortress into an irresistible chibi package, the four engine nacelles and distinctive stepped nose immediately recognisable despite the exaggerated proportions.
