The Sherman Firefly was the Allied answer to the Tiger and Panther — a British modification of the standard Sherman that replaced the 75mm gun with the devastating 17-pounder, creating the only Allied tank in 1944 capable of reliably destroying German heavy armour at combat ranges. Fireflies were so feared by German commanders that their crews were specifically briefed to target them first. Meng's World War Toons captures the Firefly's most distinctive feature — that impossibly long gun barrel — in a chibi package that somehow makes it look even more formidable. The natural companion to the Tiger I in any WWT collection.
