Fuel was the lifeblood of mechanised warfare, and the logistics of keeping tanks, trucks, and half-tracks supplied consumed an enormous proportion of the German Army's manpower and effort. Fuel drums — the ubiquitous steel jerricans and 200-litre barrels — were handled, rolled, stacked, and cursed at by soldiers at every level of the supply chain, from the rear depots to the front-line vehicle parks. MiniArt's Special Edition set captures this unglamorous but essential reality: soldiers manhandling fuel drums in the working poses that fill the margins of every operational photograph. Combined with period vehicles or supply area dioramas, it adds the logistical texture that makes a scene feel genuinely alive.
