The Standard N was a Soviet agricultural and industrial tractor produced in the early 1940s — a period when the line between civilian and military production had effectively ceased to exist in the Soviet war economy. Tractors of this type were pressed into service across the breadth of Soviet industry and logistics: hauling artillery, towing disabled vehicles, moving heavy equipment between factories evacuated east of the Urals, and performing the unglamorous traction work that underpinned the entire Soviet war effort. MiniArt's 1/35 kit captures the Standard N in the Mod. 1940/42 configuration — an unusual and historically significant subject that adds genuine depth to any Eastern Front diorama looking beyond the obvious armour subjects.
