The Royal Engineers were the British Army's problem-solvers — the troops called forward whenever an obstacle needed crossing, a bridge needed building, a minefield needed clearing, or a fortification needed demolishing. From the bridging operations at the Rhine to the beach clearances on D-Day, the Sappers worked in conditions of extreme danger doing jobs that no other arm of the army could do. MiniArt's Special Edition set captures Royal Engineers in working poses with the tools and equipment of their trade — demolition charges, mine detectors, bridging equipment, entrenching tools — the practical, unglamorous kit that made the difference between an advance stalling and an advance succeeding.
The army's problem-solvers — Royal Engineers with the tools of their trade, in 1/35 scale.
