Mirage Hobby 1/35 Stuka zu Fuss sWG 40/32cm on UE 630(f) Early (35519)

The Stuka zu Fuss — "Dive Bomber on Foot" — was the irreverent nickname given to a series of improvised German rocket artillery systems that mounted the 28cm and 32cm Wurfkörper heavy rockets on captured French Renault UE carriers. The UE 630(f) was the smallest tracked carrier in the French Army's inventory, yet the Germans found it capable of carrying the massive sWG 40 launcher frames for these devastating area-bombardment weapons. Used extensively on the Eastern Front and in North Africa, the Stuka zu Fuss was valued for the psychological as much as the physical impact of its rockets — their enormous explosive effect and distinctive shriek in flight had a powerful effect on enemy morale. The early variant captured here represents the first improvised configurations before more standardised mounting solutions were developed. Mirage Hobby's 1/35 kit brings this unusual and rarely modelled vehicle to life.

Improvised, devastating, and unforgettable — the Stuka zu Fuss in 1/35 scale.
