The M3 Stuart light tank — known as the “Honey” by British crews who appreciated its reliability — was supplied to the British Army under Lend-Lease from 1941 and saw its first combat with the 8th Army in Operation Crusader in November 1941. Fast, mechanically dependable, and well-liked by its crews despite being undergunned for the increasingly heavily armoured German tanks it encountered in North Africa, the Stuart served throughout the desert campaign and beyond. This Revell set combines a 1/76 Matchbox-tooled Stuart with 1/72 Revell British 8th Army infantry figures, making it a natural starting point for a North Africa diorama. The mixed scales are close enough for display purposes and the combination of vehicle and figures adds immediate scene-setting potential.
