The M4A3E8 Sherman, nicknamed the “Easy Eight”, arrived late in the Second World War. Its improved horizontal volute spring suspension gave it a smoother ride over rough ground, while the 76 mm gun marked it out from many earlier Shermans. Rye Field Model’s 1/35 M4A3E8 Sherman “Easy Eight” (RM-5028) is a strong subject for a late-war American armoured-vehicle display or diorama.
A late-war Sherman with a distinctive stance — the Easy Eight in 1/35 scale.
