The Beechcraft 1900 is a nineteen-seat twin-turboprop regional airliner and utility transport widely used in commuter airline and military roles from the 1980s onwards — its upswept T-tail, ventral strakes, and multiple tailfins giving it one of the more distinctive silhouettes in its class. The C-1 variant was a dedicated cargo/utility version with a large cargo door; the ambulance configuration covered here reflects the 1900’s extensive use by air forces and medical operators worldwide for casualty evacuation and aeromedical transport. Sova-M’s 1/72 kit covers a subject essentially unavailable from any other manufacturer at this scale — the kind of unglamorous but historically important utility aircraft that keeps military aviation historians interested.
The workhorse medevac twin — Beechcraft 1900C-1 Ambulance in 1/72 scale.
