Special Hobby 1/48 Tempest Mk.II The Last RAF Radial Engine Fighter (SH48214)

The Hawker Tempest Mk.II was the most powerful piston-engine fighter to reach RAF service — a development of the Tempest series fitted with the Bristol Centaurus radial engine in place of the Sabre inline of the Mk.V, producing a cleaner nose profile and exceptional low-altitude performance. Entering service too late for the European war, the Mk.II served post-war in Germany, India, and Pakistan, and was the last RAF fighter to be powered by a radial engine before the jet age rendered piston fighters obsolete. Special Hobby’s 1/48 kit covers this often-overlooked post-war variant of one of the RAF’s finest fighters with the detail level that the scale demands.
The last RAF radial fighter at its finest — Tempest Mk.II in 1/48 scale.
