Special Hobby 1/48 V-156F Vindicator ‘Aeronavale Service’ (SH48213)

The Vought V-156 Vindicator was a carrier-based dive bomber developed for the US Navy in the late 1930s that also found a significant export customer in the French Aéronavale, which operated the V-156F variant from its carriers and, when France fell in June 1940, from shore bases fighting a desperate rearguard action against the advancing German forces. French Vindicators flew combat missions during the Battle of France and the armistice campaign in circumstances of extreme difficulty, making their brief operational history one of the more poignant chapters of early wartime naval aviation.
