The Jagdpanther was the most capable German tank destroyer of the Second World War — the Panther’s hull and running gear carrying the long 8.8cm PaK 43/3 in a well-sloped superstructure that combined exceptional firepower with protection that deflected most Allied anti-tank rounds. The G2 was the late-production variant built by MIAG between December 1944 and January 1945, introducing a revised single-piece gun barrel, modified travel lock, and detail changes that distinguish it from earlier production. Tamiya’s 1/35 kit covers this specific final production variant.
