Moving a damaged armoured vehicle was a major operation in the Second World War. The German Sd.Kfz.9, widely known as the FAMO, was an 18-ton heavy half-track used for towing and recovery work; the Sd.Ah.116 was a low-loading trailer designed to transport tanks and other heavy loads. Tamiya’s 1/35 FAMO and Sd.Ah.116 (35246) make a substantial transport-and-recovery subject, with the long trailer giving a diorama a sense of scale and purpose.
