The Tiger II with Porsche turret — the early-production turret designed by Porsche but ultimately fitted to Henschel hulls after Porsche lost the production contract — is one of the most immediately recognisable and imposing vehicles of the Second World War, and Trumpeter’s 1/16 full interior kit is the most comprehensive large-scale treatment of the type available. The kit builds a complete Tiger II from glacis plate to engine deck with the full fighting compartment interior — commander’s position, gunner’s seat, loader’s station, ammunition stowage, breach of the 88mm KwK 43 gun, and engine bay all represented in accurate detail. At 1/16 scale the Tiger II becomes a room-dominating display model that rewards the most skilled builders.
