The BA-10 was the Red Army’s standard medium armoured car of the late 1930s and early war period — a six-wheeled vehicle armed with a 45mm gun in a rotating turret that gave it anti-tank capability unusual in a wheeled armoured vehicle, and the turret was shared with the T-26 light tank. BA-10s served in the Finnish Winter War and in enormous numbers during the catastrophic early battles of 1941, where most were destroyed or captured in the German encirclements. The type also saw service in the Spanish Civil War and the battles on the Mongolian border against Japan in 1939. UM Models’ 1/72 kit captures this important Soviet armoured car.
