The BA-6 was a Soviet medium armoured car of the mid-1930s, armed with a 45mm gun in a rotating turret — the same gun fitted to the BA-10 and the T-26 light tank, giving it genuine anti-tank capability at the ranges of the period. BA-6s served with the Republican forces in the Spanish Civil War, in the battles on the Mongolian border against Japan in 1938–39, in the Finnish Winter War, and in the catastrophic opening battles of Operation Barbarossa in 1941. The type was one of the most widely exported Soviet armoured vehicles of the interwar period. UM Models’ 1/72 kit captures this prolific Soviet armoured car.
