The T68 was an American experimental flamethrower tank of the Second World War period — a Sherman hull fitted with a mechanised flamethrower system for use against fortified positions, bunkers, and entrenched infantry in the island-hopping campaigns of the Pacific. Flamethrower tanks were among the most feared weapons of the Pacific War, their ability to project burning fuel into caves, pillboxes, and jungle positions making them effective against Japanese defensive positions that conventional weapons struggled to neutralise. UM Models’ 1/72 kit captures this unusual and little-modelled experimental variant in the compact 1/72 scale suited to diorama and collection use.
