The Vickers Valetta C.1 served the Royal Air Force as its principal medium transport through the late 1940s and 1950s, flying supply and reinforcement missions across the empire’s remaining commitments in a period of rapid strategic change. Its twin Bristol Hercules engines and spacious rectangular fuselage made it a versatile workhorse that served on trooping, freight, and casualty evacuation duties across the Middle East, Africa, and the Far East. This kit number variant captures a different marking option from the related 72142 release, offering the collector an alternative scheme for this frequently overlooked but historically important RAF transport type. Valom’s 1/72 kit captures the Valetta in accurate outline and detail.
