The Centurion Mk.5/1 in service with the 4th Royal Tank Regiment represents the Centurion at the height of its British Army career — a thoroughly proven and well-regarded main battle tank that served from the Korean War through to the 1970s and proved its exceptional toughness in every conflict it entered. The 4 RTR carried the Centurion in BAOR and during various Cold War commitments, and the regiment’s markings and schemes offer the modeller a classic piece of British Cold War armour. Vespid Models’ 1/72 kit captures the Mk.5/1 in 4 RTR British Army configuration with the precision that distinguishes this manufacturer’s small-scale range.
Britain’s Cold War main battle tank with 4 RTR — Centurion Mk.5/1 in 1/72 scale.
