Frog was a pioneering British plastic model kit manufacturer that operated from 1932 to 1977. Originally founded as International Model Aircraft Ltd (IMA), the company adopted the Frog brand name, which stood for "Flies Right Off the Ground." Initially producing flying model aircraft made from wood and tissue paper, Frog transitioned to plastic injection-molded kits in the 1950s, becoming one of the first companies to do so.

The manufacturer gained renown for its affordable, accessible model aircraft kits that introduced generations of hobbyists to scale modeling. Frog's catalog eventually expanded beyond aircraft to include ships, cars, and figures. The company was particularly popular in Britain and exported worldwide, though it faced increasing competition from Japanese manufacturers like Hasegawa and Tamiya.

Financial difficulties led to Frog's closure in 1977, but its molds were sold to various companies, including Novo and later Revell, ensuring some kits remained available. Today, vintage Frog kits are collectible items cherished by modeling enthusiasts.
